ACADEMICS
“Bear in mind that the wonderful things you learn in your schools are the work of many generations. All this is put in your hands as your inheritance in order that you may receive it, honor it, add to it, and one day faithfully hand it on to your children.”
KG to Grade II (Age 3 – 8 years)
Early childhood care and education (ECCE), as defined by UNESCO, is the “holistic development of a child’s social, emotional, cognitive and physical needs in order to build a solid and broad foundation for lifelong learning and wellbeing.” The years from birth to age 8 are viewed as a critical period for developing the foundations for thinking, behaving, and emotional well-being. During these years children develop linguistic, cognitive, social, emotional, and regulatory skills that predict their functioning in many domains later.

Grade III, IV and V (Age 8 – 11 years)
During these years, the student’s intellectual, aesthetic, physical, and cultural growth is strengthened through a foundation course designed to suit students to enable them to fit into any International background. The smooth transition from childhood to adolescence is facilitated by comprehensive, value-added education.
Academic challenges become the focus as the students start preparing for the All India Secondary School Examination conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi at the end of Grade X.
We believe that it is essential to maintain a strong and open partnership between Students, Parents and the School.

Grade VI, VII and VIII (Age 11 – 14 years)
The curriculum and pedagogical framework of the Middle School is strongly based on academic content while at the same time developing students’ study skills and organizational strategies. As a result, students work to become independent learners, increase their sense of self-esteem, and gain confidence in their abilities. We work with every student so that they may develop as effective communicators, critical thinkers, efficient workers, and strong community members.
Ongoing assessments and technology oriented classroom sessions ensure that each child’s learning is continuously monitored, learning gaps are addressed and remedial measures are designed.
A wide variety of co-curricular activities such as swimming, yoga, skating, football, Music and Dance, Drawing, Painting and other Visual Arts, Crafts, STEM and Robotics will broaden the opportunities of the children to develop their natural abilities as well as to initiate new areas of interest. Collaborative and project-based learning opportunities, research and discovery are encouraged by including E-Library classes and ATL Lab classes in the timetable.
Planned Vocational Education/Skill Courses are integrated in the curriculum as a larger vision of holistic development and mainstreaming all forms of learnings and skills.

Grades IX and X

NPS International School also gives special focus on developing students for civil services. Right from Class VIII to Class XII, we nurture the students towards making them aware about how to crack civil service examinations. A lot of questions of the civil services are derived from NCERT books of Class VIII to X, so the students should be aware of that and we make sure that our expert team of teachers provide proper guidance towards the way they should prepare for civil services examinations. Guiding the students in an early age ensures that they remain always focused towards achieving their goals.
